Love is in the air in Bushwick, with nary a hint of meat.
This Sunday, Vegan Shop-Up, a free, bi-monthly vegan pop-up market, will celebrate its 1st birthday and Valentine’s Day, with freebies from Moo Shoes, Veg News, Food Swings, Babeland, Terri, and Babycakes.
The impressive roster of vendors includes those this blog has already raved about (One Lucky Duck and Saucy by Nature, for example), plus plenty more I’m dying to try. A few that caught my eye: the gluten and refined-sugar-free truffles of Super Foxy Sweets’ and Cakes Bites, spicy Msabaha from Brooklyn Hummus, Electric Blue Baking Co. (fingers crossed for adzuki brownies), Woodside Bakehouse granola bars, Regal Vegan’s Faux Gras and Black and Blanco’s Sandcastles.
When your belly’s full, stock up on locally-made cards, crafts, clothes, and beautifiers — because, really, you do deserve vegan mustachio wax.
